I took my boat to Riverbend for servicing of the lower units of my 2 (200 HP Optimax) outboards as I did not want to take it up to Jax. After being gouged for the servicing...they charged for individuals parts instead of the kits that were less expensive and asking about the charges, I was told if I did not like it, I did not have to come back.
I brought my boat home to discover the entire length of the starboard side had been scuffed and scratched including my boat name decal. I went in to tell them about the damage and ask about the repair, Lyn said no problem and they would call to come and pick up the boat since I was not able to bring it back myself. The service guy admitted it was probably their fault since my boat was wedged in the yard (made an appt. 2 weeks ahead) and told me the boat that had probably scratched it when they moved it out. There was no phone call for 5 days, so I called again. I was able to bring the boat back in on Monday and they said they would let me know about the repairs. Then they called and asked me to email the graphics so they could order another decal. I sent them an email with the graphics and asked them to call before they did anything. Didn't hear back so I called the next day. I was told by Jon, the owner, the scratches were there and the decal and side damage were not done by them, but they fixed it anyway. When I asked about bringing the boat back Jon said their would be a delivery charge. I said no way since they did the damage which he denied again and then rudely told me the boat would be on its way to my house shortly. After about 45 mintues the boat came down the street with leaves and branches in the radar and the outriggers, as well as the broken branches in the back of the pick-up truck and boat. The guy had to stop and get the broken brances out of the road so the car behind him would not run over them! The "repair" to the side of the boat was minimal if anything with some rubbing compound still on the boat. The decal is still cut. Riverbend Marine's customer service sucks and the owner's attitude is worse! I'll definitely go to Jax for my next service!!!!!!!
