The Boat is Clean and Fast and everything seems to be working well except the Captain who has long ago lost his passion for fishing . Our full day trip listed on the web site as 8 am to 5 pm and confirmed by phone was shorted by the captain while we had clam seas and good weather. The Captain has no personality and we thought he had lost his tongue as he didn't speak more than a few words the whole trip. He would answer a question if asked one. The bite was slow but that is fishing, however we would park on a spot and put nothing in the box of real value and stay on the spot and fish it to death. I finally had to ask him to move the boat. No attempt was made to get live bait with cast net or saviki rigs, on a fishing trip targeting grouper and snapper. It was the first time on the boat for the First Mate who seemed to be lost as the Captain gave him no direction. He to had to ask when to even drop the anchor as he was never told when we were on the spot. The combined group on this charter has fished well over 500 charters in SWFL in the last five years and we were looking for a new Captain as our regular has retired. This is the right boat with the wrong Captain sadly to say. The thing we will remember from this trip is that we did have a nice ride! Yep, we were taken for a ride! Note...,Any one can have a bad day fishing but you have to make an effort when you are being paid to go fishing as a Charter Boat Captain or you should find something else to do for a living.
