Chartered w/ Capt'n Stuart New Beginnings summer of 2009. We're from Oklahoma and vacation w/ the full family each summer.
We charter every other year. The Charter we had used for years was sold, the new owner/Captain was terrible, poor personality & did not seem to know were the fish were. Yes some days are better than others, but he just didn't seem to know very much. Did my due diligence, talked to a lot of people, went down and watched the boats come in with their catch and thought this was a good bet, it was. We caught fish, had a good time. To me a charter boat needs to be reasonably clean, the capt & 1st mate need to customer oriented, and catching fish is important too! Our expectations were fully met. Personally I like the 12 hour charters, gives you a little more time to get out a little farther to areas that aren't fished to death
Booking our next charter for late June tomorrow.
