Captain Tom's Custom Charters

  I recently enjoyed charters on the Silver River with Captain Tom two days in a row. We had family coming in on different days and the charter was so great I went both days. The Silver River is absolutely gorgeous and you see different things each time. I would not hesitate to go again when we are back in the area.

Captain Tom was incredibly knowledgeable about the river history, flora and fauna. He impressed my garden club mother in law with his knowledge of rare plants. The river is practically mystical and it really feels like a step back in time to an unspoiled "real" Florida that as native Floridians, we all miss.

The pontoon boat was very stable for those scared of water, it had a top for shade although most of the river is shady and cool and it had comfortable seats with backs. Captain Tom was even able to accommodate someone in a wheelchair on the second charter I went on. Prices are incredibly reasonable and well worth it. No one in our group young or old was disappointed. According to his brochure, he also does charters on a number of other local waterways.
