this group claims to promote professionalism in the broker industry. This statement is false. I have asked for an impartial investigation of several of their members who commited fraud, and false representation and broke a number of broker laws. the president responded he would get back to me after his vacation but after finding out who the members were he has ignored us.

An Ohio couple was scammed by several Florida Yacht brokers when they knowingly took part in the sale of their stolen yacht. The couple contacted Florida Yacht Broker Association president asking for an investigation. The president confirmed their request and even said in an e mail he would get in touch as soon as he returned from his vacation. Months later still no word. Many yacht brokers were contqcted by e mail as to their opinions of the laws being broken and all 100% confirmed the brokers involved broke the law. On the front page od the F.Y.B.A website

www.fyba.org

they clearly brag about their bylaws and the protection of the public and i can assure you it didnt happen here. In fact the F.Y.B.A has ignored the cries for help for a scammed couple. We believe the reason for the ignoring of the situation is because the F.Y.B.A is more concerned about its members fees and dues they collect and the effect the bad publicity will bring on the industry. to read more about the brokers involved go to

you can also google united yacht sales peter schmidt

this broker commingled money into his private account. knowingly took part in the sale of a solen yacht. advised client who bought yacht to keep it hidden.
and more... peter schmidt owner of the brokerage not only has supported his broker but also made false statements online saying he was told by the other victims attorney certain things that were never said. he then went on to say he misunderstood... how do you misunderstand something when you were never told it? to read more about peter schmidts false statement/lies go to

Florida yacht broker association is an assiociation there to promote professionalism and protect the customer from broker fraud. In my familys case not only did their member united yacht sales commit a fraud/felony the f.y.b.a. ignored the complaint given to them about their member they refused to even do an investigation. by investigation all parties involved in the crime should be interviewed and none have. this saturday jan. 19th 2008 read more about the f.y.b.a at
www.floridayachtbrokerassociation.com
many members of the f.y.b.a. have confirmed clearly a crime/felony was commited and you can read about it at the new web site listed above
